Make a chain as long as desired (multiple of 4 for size, plus 4).

Row 1: 3 DC in 4th Ch from hook. Skip 3 Ch, SlSt in next Ch. Ch 3, *3 DC in same stitch as SlSt, skip 3 Ch, SlSt in next Ch, Ch 3* Repeat from * to * until end of row, ending with a ch 3, 3 DC in last ch 3 space of the row.

Row 2: (With new color, if changing color), ch 3, *SlSt around Ch 3 post in last cluster of prior row, Ch 3, 3 DC around same Ch 3 post as SlSt.* Repeat from * to * until end of row, ending with a ch3, 3 DC around last ch 3 space in the row.

Row 3 - end: Repeat Row 2 until desired length.

Finishing Row (optional): Square off top row to match first row. If using different colors, attach the last color at beginning of row with a SlSt as usual. *SC, HDC (half double), DC, TC (triple) in ch 3 space*. Repeat from * to * along the top row.
